Halloween Party Мета: - залучити учнів всього класу незважаючи на їх рівень англійської мови та формувати лідерські якості;
Хід свята: Починається свято з танцю «Відьми» Presenter: Good evening, dear guests. Welcome to our party! Presenter: On Halloween, people often go to the parties at which fortunes are read and ghosts stories are told. Children may dress up in the costumes and masks of witches, goblins or skeletons and go trick – or – treating. They ring doorbells and ask for candy, apples, or coins. Ведуча: Вітаємо вас на Хеллоуін вечірці! В цей день діти переодягаються у костюми відьм, скелетів та одягають маски. Вони ходять по домівках та просять солодощі. Presenter: At night on October 31 witches fly on their broomsticks, skeletons rattle their bones, ghosts frighten people, Jack – O’ – Lanterns walk around houses, black Halloween cats play tricks with us. Ведуча: 31 жовтня відьми літають на мітлах, привиди лякають людей, чорні коти шуткують над нами. (Behind the speaker in the back of the stage there appears a “ghost”, listening to what she says, moves quietly and disappears.) Presenter: Halloween is one of the oldest celebrations in the world, dating back over 2000 years to the time of the Celts who lived in Britain. Halloween is also known by other names: All Hallows Eve Ведуча: Хеллоуін – одне з найстаріших свят у світі, йому більше ніж 2000 років. Хеллоуін має різні назви. Presenter: It is thought that the colours orange and black became Halloween colours because orange is associated with harvests (Halloween marks the end of harvest) and black is associated with death. Ведуча: Хеллоуіну притаманні помаранчевий та чорний колір. Помаранчевий символізує врожай, а чорний – смерть. Presenter: Halloween customs today follow many of ancient practices. When children wear costumes, false faces, or witches’ hats, bob for apples or carry jack-o-lanterns they are carrying on ancient traditions. Ведуча: В цей день люди вшановують традиції та звичаї своєї країни. Presenter: Witches prepared different potions (снадобья) and told magic spells: Ведуча: Відьми готують зілля, промовляючи закляття. Witch: Bubbling, bubbling, bubbling pot Presenter: Well, now we know that witches fly on their brooms, and what about Jack – O’ – Lantern? The jack-o-lantern, most typical of Halloween symbols, began with the Irish. According to legend a man named Jack was expelled from Hell for playing tricks on the devil. He was to walk the earth forever carrying a lantern to light his way waiting for Judgment Day. Modern jack-o-lanterns are made from big orange pumpkins. Ведуча: Тепер ми знаємо, що відьми літають на мітлах. А що робить Джек – Тиква? Джек – тиква – один із головних символів цього свята. За легендою, чоловіка на ім’я Джек вигнали з пекла, тому що він жартував над дияволом. Він був змушений блукати по землі з ліхтарем у руці та чикати на Судний День. Look, here it is. (Jack – O’ – Lantern appears) (З’являється Джек – тиква ) Jack – O’ – Lantern – Hi everybody. My name is Jack, you know. I’ve been wandering around the Earth for hundreds of years. I am so tired. People don’t like me, but I want to talk to them. I am so glad to have come to your party. One of the ancient traditions on Halloween was story telling. I know so many interesting stories and I won’t go until I tell you one of them. Ведуча: Привіт! Я Джек – тиква. Я блукаю по землі вже сотні років. Я так втомився. Люди мене не люблять, а я хочу з ними спілкуватись. Я дуже радий, що заблукав до вашої вечірки. На Хеллоуін прийнято розповідати різні історії. Я знаю багато цікавих історій і я не піду доки не розкажу одну з них. Once upon a time there lived an old woman. She sat by the fire and she spun waiting for someone to come. But no one came. Soon there was a knock at the door and the door opened and in came two big shoes, two long thin legs, some wide, wide shoulders, some long thin arms, two fat hands and in rolled a pumpkin head. Ведуча: Жила – була одна літня жінка. Вони сиділа біля каміну та очікувала на когось. Ніхто не прийшов. Незабаром хтось постукав у двері. Двері відчинились. Зайшло два великі башмаки, дві довгі ноги, широкі плечі, довгі руки, дві руки та закотилась тиква. She looked at someone and said: (Jack – O’ – Lantern screams, scares students and goes away.) (Джек – тиква закричав та почав лякати дітей.) Presenter: Isn’t it fun to scare somebody at the Halloween Party! Well, one more guest is coming to us. Ведуча: хіба не весело? А в нас ще один гість. Зустрічайте нашу відьму. Old Lady Witch: Oh – ho, I am so tired, my poor legs. They hurt me and want to rest. Oh, can’t believe my eyes! So many people! Recognize me? I am Old Lady Witch. Well, it is a good opportunity to tell everybody that I am not so ugly as they think. I have a big, soft and a warm heart. Don’t be afraid of me. I’ll tell you, girls, how to see your future husbands on Halloween. If you peel an apple and throw the parings over the left shoulder look at what form the peel has taken. It may be the initials of the man you are to marry. Well, that is not enough for today, but I have to go. Good – bye everybody, enjoy your Halloween and have a good fright. (Goes away.) Ведуча: Я така втомлена, мої ніжки… Я так хочу відпочити. Я не можу повірити своїм очам – так багато людей. Впізнали мене? Я стара відьма. І саме зараз у мене з’явилась можливість сказати вам, що я не така страшна як ви думаєте. У мене велике та добре серце. Не лякайтесь мене. Дівчата, я можу вам розказати як дізнатися про свого майбутнього чоловіка. Якщо ви почистите яблуко та перекинете шкурку через ліве плече, ви зможете побачити ініціали свого майбутнього чоловіка. На сьогодні це все, але мені час летіти. Прощавайте! Насолоджуйтесь святом та хай вас добре полякають! Presenter: Well, well, well the time for fun has come. We have a lot here to enjoy. Apples were once thought to be a link between men and the Gods and were often used to tell the future. By putting an apple under your pillow you could dream a wish and eat the apple in the morning. Later people began to use apple in games. Ведуча: А зараз – час для веселощів! З давніх здавен яблука вважались зв’язком між Богом та людьми. Вони могли передвіщати майбутнє. Поклавши яблука під подушку, треба було загадати бажання, а вранці з’їсти його. Пізніше яблука використовували у грі. Let’s play the game “Bobbing for apples”. Apples are in a bowl of water. Let someone try to catch an apple with his teeth (гра – дістати яблука з води без рук). Presenter 1: Now I suggest that you should guess my riddles. Ведуча: А зараз розгадайте наші загадки. She always flies on her magic broom, In masks and gowns we haunt the street I flight at night because I don’t like light. (Bat) Presenter: You remember that Halloween was a Celtic New Year and the party should be a mysterious one. Our M-r Magician will show you some tricks. Ведуча: Ви пам’ятаєте, що Хеллоуін – магічне свято. Зараз наш маг покаже деякі фокуси. “Магічні чудеса ” (Маг показує фокуси). Presenter 1: It’s high time for some Halloween jokes. But where is …? (В цей час на сцені з’являється Фредді Крюгер.) Freddy: Oh, I kill you! Not now, but later. Do you want… to tell jokes? Oh, you’ll get her back if you can give me a cute answer to my questions. Otherwise… So, listen to them: Ведуча: Настав час для розваг. Але де…? Halloween Jokes: Q: What is bigger than a monster but lighter than a bird? Q. What is a witch's favorite subject in school? Q. What would you do if a witch, an alien, Count Dracula and Frankenstein were at your door? Q: What did the young witch say to her mother? Q: When is it bad luck to meet a cat? Freddy: O’K, you did it. But wait and I’ll be back! (Goes away) (Presenter 2 returns to the scene.) Presenter 1: Now we want to tell you a few words about trick’o’treating. Ведуча: Зараз поговоримо про традицію «просити солодощі». Soul-Cakers Song (учень) Soul, soul, for a souling cake, (Old Lady Witch, Jack and others go trick – or – treating). Ведуча: Діти також прийшли на свято, щоб зібрати солодощі. Пригостіть їх, якщо не хочете, щоб над вами не пожартували. Presenter 2: Now we’d like you to listen to some music.
